Khao Tao Beach
"Khao Tao Beach: Serenity by the Sea in Hua Hin's Hidden Cove"
Khao Tao Beach is a serene and picturesque beach located in the Khao Tao village, approximately 10-15 kilometers south of Hua Hin, in the Prachuap Khiri Khan Province of Thailand. It is named after the hill (Khao Tao meaning "Turtle Hill") that overlooks the area, which slightly resembles a turtle.
This beach is generally less crowded than the more popular Hua Hin Beach, offering a more tranquil and relaxed environment. It comprises two main beaches, Sai Noi and Sai Yai. Sai Noi Beach is smaller and more secluded, often favored by those looking to escape from the bustling tourist areas. Its northern end features a beautiful temple with a large Buddha statue overlooking the sea. Sai Yai Beach is the larger beach where visitors can enjoy a longer stretch of sand for sunbathing and beach activities.
Khao Tao Beach is characterized by its clear waters, shaded areas provided by pine trees lining the shore, and its laid-back vibe. The area around the beach has a few local restaurants and accommodation options, catering to those who wish to stay nearby. Visitors can also explore the Khao Tao Reservoir and its surrounding park area, which offers scenic views and opportunities for leisurely strolls or picnics.
