Nature" and "clean air" not far from the capital.

Regarding the national park
Khao Yai National Park is the first national park of Thailand, which is significant both globally and regionally, due to its location as high mountains at the edge of the Khorat Plateau, making the park a rainwater catchment area, creating several headwater streams, the origin of a diverse variety of plant and wildlife species. Therefore, the park is like a home and a school for tourists to come, stay, and learn to cherish and protect our natural resources to help safeguard our "home".
The nearly 2,206 square kilometers area of the national park is a significant source of many important headwater streams, boasting biodiversity, and serves as a large home for various important, rare, and endangered species, including more than 280 bird species, making it popular among birdwatchers worldwide.
Forests in the park
The forests within Khao Yai National Park cover an area of approximately 200 square kilometers. Located at the edge of the Khorat Plateau, Khao Yai National Park acts as a rain barrier, intercepting monsoon winds from the Andaman Sea and the South China Sea, resulting in abundant rainfall. The majority of the park's area consists of vast grasslands and fertile forests, including dry evergreen forest, mixed deciduous forest, hill evergreen forest, moist evergreen forest, and secondary forest, which are habitats for a wide variety of plant and animal species.
