Khlongtom Museum

Khlong Thom is an ancient community from the late prehistoric period. and historical periods It is one of the important archaeological sites in the western southern peninsula.

The museum building is made up of two buildings. The outer walls have large replicas of solar god beads that are eye-catching. Inside the building, the first point is the public relations point and collecting admission fees, and the second point is the point for giving lectures to those who come in groups. The first floor of the museum building is divided into different zones.
Zone 1: History of Wat Khlong Thom and the history of the museum's founder.
Zone 2: Southern Beads on the route across the Malay Peninsula Due to the geography of the southern part of the country, it is a peninsula extending into the sea. Therefore, along the coast of the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, archaeological sites related to maritime trade appear periodically.
Zone 3: Southern beads from various archaeological sites such as the Khao Siwichai archaeological site where various colored glass beads were found. Precious stone beads such as agate, quartz, carnelian, and gold beads.
Zone 4: Archaeological operations at Khuan Lud Phad Tells the timeline of the archaeological work at Kuan Ludd. Since the Fine Arts Department came to conduct archaeological surveys and excavations.
Zone 5: Different types of beads Use as an amulet or jewelry. Made from natural ingredients From baked clay, animal bones, seashells, teeth, seeds, wood, stones, gold, minerals, gemstones, and various gems. Khlong Thom's most famous beads are the mosaic glass beads in the shape of human faces.
