Kung Krabaen Bay

While not a typical beach for sunbathing due to its mangrove forests, Kung Krabaen Bay is worth visiting for its rich ecosystem, excellent for nature walks and educational tours.

Kung Krabaen Bay is a significant coastal area located in Chanthaburi Province, Eastern Thailand. This bay is known for its rich biodiversity and the extensive mangrove forests that surround it. It is also an important area for aquaculture and fisheries.

The Kung Krabaen Bay Royal Development Study Center was established by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej with the aim to research and develop sustainable uses for the mangrove ecosystem. This center plays a crucial role in the conservation of the area by educating people about mangrove ecosystems and demonstrating effective ways to utilize the mangrove without causing environmental degradation.

The bay is not only an ecological hotspot but also an attraction for eco-tourism, offering educational walks through the mangrove forests, bird watching opportunities, and the chance to observe various forms of marine life in their natural habitats. The boardwalks and nature trails provide visitors with access to view the mangroves and the wildlife that depends on them.
