National Museum U-Thong

U-Thong is an ancient city of great historical and archaeological significance. In 1959, the Fine Arts Department established the National Museum U-Thong as a temporary facility to house artifacts recovered from archaeological surveys and excavations of the ancient city of U-Thong.

The National Museum U-Thong is a historical, archaeological, and art history museum established to preserve and exhibit artifacts from archaeological operations in the ancient city of U-Thong. Scholars believe the site is connected to the region known as "Suvarnabhumi," an ancient world trading center that flourished around 2,500 years ago and served as an early bastion of Buddhism in Thailand.
