Wat Khao Phra Si Sanphet Ayaram
In the past, Wat Khao Phra, which is also an ancient temple estimated from the Dvaravati period, had concrete stairs that visitors could climb to reach the top of the hill. The first point of interest resembles a cave with a reclining Buddha for worship. Further up the stairs, there is an ordination hall that houses a sandstone-carved Buddha's footprint, and there is a square-based stupa, number 9.
Wat Khao Phra Si Sanphet Ayaram is an ancient temple, presumed to date back to the Dvaravati period, and is a revered site among the people of U Thong. Today, the temple is one of the well-developed ones, with a clean, shaded, and beautiful compound featuring a small mountain. Atop the mountain, there is a cave enshrining a reclining Buddha, Luang Por Sangkha Si Sanphet, and at the very top, there's a replica of the Buddha's footprint. The temple also houses several antiquities such as Buddha images in various postures, sacred amulets, Phra Phirat, Phra Tham Suea, and Dvaravati-era molds of hermit figures.
