Wat Phai Rong Wua

Wat Phai Rong Wua, located in the district of Song Phi Nong, Suphan Buri Province, is brimming with stunning architecture and unique sculptures, especially the depiction of the underworld filled with those who are suffering for their karmic deeds.

Wat Phai Rong Wua, in the district of Song Phi Nong, is a destination in Suphan Buri where visitors can learn about the concepts of sin and merit through numerous sculptures depicting hell and heaven. The sculptures narrate various sinful acts committed in this lifetime, such as harming one's parents, which would lead to falling into hell and becoming a hungry ghost, or engaging in sexual misconduct, which would lead to climbing a spiky tree in hell. Additionally, the temple houses the world's largest white Buddha image in the posture of subduing Mara, the evil one, with 500 other Buddha images behind it. The temple also features the largest bronze Buddha image in Thailand, which took 17 years to construct, a sanctuary with a hundred spires, replicas of holy sites, a pagoda with a hundred spires, and much more for visitors to pay their respects and seek blessings.
