Wat Thap Kradan
Many of you probably know Phum Phuang Duangchan, the queen of country songs; that leave melodious music in the hearts of many people. Today, even though Pum Phuang died for many years, the story and memories have not left as Pum Phuang's body. Various related items of her life are still kept at this Thap Kradan Temple for those who still love and miss this Queen of country songs to remember
This temple is not only a religious site, but is also home to a museum dedicated to a famed Thai folk singer, Phumphuang Duangchan. Phumphuang spent much of her childhood near this temple and her belongings, equipment, photographs, and news clippings are on display.Portraits of Phumphuang line the temple's pier, evidence of fans' and worshippers' fulfilled wishes. Annual ceremonies to commemorate her death always draw a large crowd of locals and fans. At the temple's front gate is a shopping area with many stalls offering dried and fresh agricultural products. Wat Thap Kradan is located at Km 10 off Highway 3351. It is open daily from 8.00 am-5.00 pm.
